PIBT offers an MSc in Data Science, awarded by the University of Greenwich.
ย The programme provides a solid foundation in the programming, computational and mathematical skills needed to move into a career in Data Science, or to progress further in an existing field.ย

It focuses on applying Data Science across numerous fields, so students can combine background knowledge with new technical skills, training in modern practical concepts, developing problem-solving and research skills, and building the ability to see relationships between programming, mathematics, statistics and general computing.
Who can apply
You’re eligible if you hold any one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline (BA, BSc, LLB, BBA, etc.)
- A master’s degree in any discipline
- A recognised professional qualification plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience (for example PQHRM, SLIM Level 7, PGD, or CIMA Strategic level)
No prior computing or data background is required. This is an open entry model, and is one of PIBT’s clearest examples of professional experience substituting directly for academic prerequisites.

Do I need a computing or maths background to apply?
No. Entry is open via a bachelor's degree in any discipline, a master's degree, or a recognised professional qualification plus 5+ years' experience. The programme itself teaches the programming, maths and statistics foundations from the ground up.
How is the programme delivered?
Weekends, 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, over 12 months with no weekday commitment.
What will I actually study?
11 modules covering programming, machine learning, data visualisation, databases, ethics and governance, plus a group project and an individual project.
